Linda - if you only need the b.cert for genealogical purposes, then a cheaper option is to buy an uncertified copy using the URL AG gave above.

If you need it for legal purposes - like getting a passport, claiming a pension, etc., then you will need the more expensive b.cert (which has identical info).

On this one both father's named John and both are farmers.

Hi Kath, Thanks for that. Its a shame they don't give the mothers first name as I am trying to pin this Timothy to one of 6 O'Mahoney sisters?
Is there a fathers name or an opportunity to see a certificate or other record somwhere do you know?

There are some Irish births on Findmypast. What year was he born and where?

EDIT - have you asked about this birth before? According to Findmypast I have looked at some Timothy O'Brien births between 1929 and 1931 before.

Hi. I am trying to look at a birth record from Ireland for a Timothy O'Brien. The info I have is that the record is on FHL film number 101231. I can't find anywhere to access this record other than a trip to Salt Lake City. Can anyone help? :-)
