Both men may have served in ww1 and if their service records have survived they may name children for each couple

Use freebmd, designed for the purpose of BMD research

Input surname Redford and MMN Broughton

GR isn’t a good place for research. Its value lies entirely with the members who offer help.

I have my great grandfather’s sisters called Broughton who married a pair of brothers called Redford in 1910 and 1912. I’ve searched for children called Redford with Broughton in the keyword and get half a dozen hits within a decent time frame and location but can’t link them to one or other married couple.

Any help would be gratefully received

If it's not too recent, do you want to put some names, dates, areas on here and helpers will have a look to see if it can be worked out.

Depends when the births of the CHILDREN occurred.

If it was pre-1911, you can look on censuses.

Or look for baptisms..............

I doubt you can work any of it out on GR. You'll need one of the better sites...............

When a pair of brothers marry a pair of sisters, you'll just have to buy the birth certs of the children, unless you can figure it out from which children are with which parents in later censuses.

If a pair of brothers marry a pair of brothers (per your post) - that's another matter altogether!

Hi - how on here can you work out which kids belong to which parents when a pair of brothers marry a pair of sisters?

Many thanks. (edited :-)
