Iam trying to locate a Mugan family in 1901 census. They appear in 1911 as follows Civil Golborne Lancashire 18 Turton street

The family are not in Ireland in 1901 other siblings missing Ellen 1882 she married in 1910 in Oldham ( this is noted on her bap cert in Ireland) to a John Obrien.

Thank you SO much for all this information, it will be a great help, i am trying to help sort out these Mugan families for a friend. He does have the marriage cert for 1901 in Warrington for James Mugan and Mary Levis/lewis. will check out address. Looks like Thomas may have married Levis also, will need this cert.

Its difficult as James Mugan and John Mugan i suspect brothers married Mary's in the same year 1873 in Charlestown, both occupation the same and called all the children same christian names I have marriage record of John father Thomas but not James his marriage only a Church record with no fathers names listed, looks like they all came over to Lancashire.

I will investigate these new records.

I did get the address of the marriage in 1901 in Warrington of James Mugan and Mary Levis, 14/16 Burton Wood Cottages, Warrington. by 1911 they had moved to Golborne his father John listed was listed as a Fruiterer. need to find who lived in Warrington address in 1901.

The first page of this set of 41 pages of records, where all the streets, houses, etc are listed, mentions "Evans New Cottages, otherwise called Burton Wood Cottages".

I can't see Evans New Cottages listed specifically in the 41 pages of the set.
However, going by the list of streets/houses on page 1, it looks as if they are somewhere between pages 5 and 12, although not named.
Mary Livis in Pennington Lane is on page 6.

None of the houses are numbered, which doesn't help.

I don't see any Mugan listed.

There's a James Morgan on page 13, but born in Wales, not Ireland.
