Here's a link to the GRO site, for ordering certs;

https://www.gro.gov.uk

For future reference - ou have to register, and then order, quoting the reference numbers for the particlular cert you want to order.

BUT
in this particular case, as ErikaH points out, we have not been able to find a death record for William, so we can't tell you the reference numbers, or even his place of death - so you can't order, unfortunately.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 23 May 2021 18:49

No-one on here has yet been able to find his death

Certs cost £11.00 from the GRO. Don’t buy from anywhere else, or you may get ripped off

1888 reference to his being a boiler maker confirms that it's the right person, IMO

12 September 1888 - Western Morning News - Plymouth, Devon, England

The case was dismissed and the Mayor advised the prisoner to leave town as soon as he could as he had been very lucky.

Now I have no idea if all these reports pertain to the same person or if they are your ancestor but it sounds as if after his first wife died, he struggled and his second marriage doesn't seem to have gone anywhere
