Ordering an Irish Birth Certificate

Even if you could get the birth certificate ( bearing in mind the 100 year rule mentioned by Erica) it would give you the mothers name but may not give you the fathers name. Which would leave you still not able to prove the story.

Hello, yes I understand the bit about the father's name of course but to have the mother's name would be helpful in my research. I have researched family way back to the 1600's and spend a lot of time building trees for people and also helping them. I'm on a mystery tour with my quest re George Alexander and I'm confident that the mystery will be solved no matter how long it takes me.

Hi all. Just an update. I was contacted today for payment to be made for the birth certificate. All paid for and I should receive the image via email within 10 days.
