Trouble is, Lambeth covered a huge area. Don't suppose you can be more specific? I would think the first thing is to find the location of the accident. Any idea of the date? Could you give us a name?

Would think it likely ,if she had family members at home ,that she would have been taken back to Hounslow & buried there.Have you checked the libraries to see if there are any newspaper reports

It appears she was not buried where she would have expected to be for personal reasons.

Got it. December 4th 1939. Without doubt there would have been a coroner's inquest, so that should be your task - to get hold of the report. As this would have been held within the vicinity of the place of death, you'll need to find out where it's held. According to the Times, she fell between the platform and the runningboard of a Waterloo to Portsmouth train.

With the war four months old it would not have made the front pages, but you should be able to find something. The Times gives only a passing reference. The library should be able to tell you where to find the coroner's report.

Believe it or not still looking for her, shame as her son died a few weeks ago without knowing where she was.
No Coroners report, as paper was short during the war and it got re-used.

I found Ealing council (cemeteries) very helpful some years ago.
Have you tried sites like deceased on line - they have so many more records nowadays.

Some of my Lambeth relatives were buried in Nunhead cemetery.
