A great site is www.toxtethparkcemetery.co.uk for burials in Liverpool.
They have recently been updating their site and now have listings up until 1939 in the Consecrated section and up till 1928 in the Unconsecrated section.

Just to say that I visited Abney Park Cemetery yesterday afternoon.

You would be lucky to find the grave you are looking for unless it was a particularly grand affair as it is very overgrown and I think quite dangerous to go scrambling about, but what a fascinating place. Tucked away in the middle of London it's a really quiet ,cool green place to go for a walk.

There is a small map on the website mentioned on this thread and you can locate whereabouts your ancestor might be buried but as I say it would be pot luck whether you found them or not.

click on burial register search, this is searchable by name
or click on book of remembrance, this is only searchable by death day and month.
