Hey Jenny, dont thank me! I bet you are all cursing really! I had looked on freecen for info of CDs but didn't see it and Ann had said she was doing it so I asked her. Ann sent my email to Carol and hey presto! I only suggested to Carol I thought it would be good to put it up on the message boards because I know how helpful everyone is! There are now 33 people from GC doing it, I think thats brilliant. Anyone reading you can also do it from your own CDs too!! I think with all the help freecen will be as popular as freeBMD and wont we love it? I'm not sure how long freeBMD has been going either, have been keeping up on my bit on that too! We should set up another thread for people who are having problems to ask us all and we could try and help each other? I will do that just now, hope thats ok? Good luck and best wishes, Jo

Hi Karen Some of my pages are torn at the corners but I've just gone back to one that had a number and then counted forward. I use the zoom tool on the toolbar for increasing the size so it's easier to read. I sent my first few pages as an attachment to my email. Hope this helps. Yvonne

thanks to Maz for telling me how to split the screen it's much easier. Now all of you stop worrying and Hey as Carol says it's not a race and we are all volunteer's, a little bit when you can is better than none at all. I think it was a brill idea of Jo's to put a come and join us message on the board and the rate you are all going we will have it up and running in no time. Christine Start at the beginning of your cd and put in the X where you can't read don't worry some of it can be hard!! Ann,Darlington

Karen, why are you doing shrink to fit? I blow mine up.....sounds fun! I use the + tool to see what is on the page. I sent my first pages as an attchment to the cordinator to the area I was doing. I do think it is a good idea to keep nudging this back up, 1861 are the census on you can transcribe through the borrowing of a cd but anyone can also send in other years that they have if they are willing to transcribe. So to all of the people who are reading this and fancy sharing to the world that little CD or Fiche they have hanging about........ Come on board!!!!!!

Still waiting for mine too. I figured that Jo has generated a little "blip" in demand for CDs with this thread and just to be patient (not that it's in my nature !!) Rick.
