Catherine,I have been looking for a whole family in liverpool on 1901 and despite trying 100's of spellings, can not find any of them. They are James Tafe,46,Sarah Tafe 47,James Tafe 17,Peter Hanlon,24,Hugh Hanlon,21,Mary Hanlon,19. I think there were some other Tafe brothers as well;Thomas,David and John, all younger than James. If you have time I would be grateful if you could have a quick look;a fresh pair of eyes and all that.

Louise Any idea of Enoch Leech's age in 1901 as there are 2 possibilities listed as below: Enoch Leech-34-Born not known in admin count of staffs-Iron Workers Labourer. Enoch Leech-42-Born Salop-Market Drayton-Admin County Staffs. Civil Parish; Newcastle Under-Lyme Blast Furnace Labourer. Any of these? Edwin would not have been on the census if he was born in 1905. Annie in Report 6 Sep 2003 10:52

Hmmm,I suppose the first one is the most likely, though Huddersfield is a surprise! You would not believe how many variations for Tafe I have used, but still nothing! I don't see how a whole family can be missed! Thank you very much for your time and effort Diane

Catherine, you must be a very kind person!! If you have any credits left could you please look up Thomas Alfred Jennings a shipwright aged born in 1851 in East or West Ham which is probably Essex at that time(but could be London). He would have up to 8 kids and probably is a widower?? Anything would be great. Thanks so much in advance. Maz. XX

Bit puzzled as no Shipwrights showing. He was down on 1891 as born Poplar. Children would be (starting from youngest) Daisy or Emily, Jennie, Ellen/or, Alice, Annie or Emily, Beatrice, Alfred, Thomas. Don't know how many would still be at home. Wife was Sarah Ann - on 1891 as Annie - but think probably deceased. Sorry not much help. Driving me mad!! Maz. XX
