Hi Kempinastrawhat - I shall be watching this thread with interest. Just been diagnosed with the same, and waiting for a date for removal. Also diagnosed with polyps on the Colon,(left hand side, also. Having that dealt with in a couple of weeks. And yes, it b*****well does hurt. Been rushed into local acute hospital and put on morphine twice since Easter.

Hello Kemp and Julia,

If you google gallstones it will tell you symptons and treatments etc, I had suffered for months with them in and out of hospital, pumped full of morphine and sent home in the middle of the night etc etc, The only way i could get the pain to go away was to rock on the floor like a mad woman til the pain went away, soometimes it would be over a hour before i felt ok again. Eventually on my fifth admittance - by ambulance again- they decided to keep me in after two weeks in hospital I eventually had open sugery to remove my gall bladder, when they opened me up i had a large tumor on my gall bladder which wasn't detected on ultra sound scans. I now have a very big scar which runs from just under my boobs to my tummy button. I think mine was an extreme case though so don't panic too much and you are right they are so painful. The only thing i can say is don't eat fatty foods, be careful with some kinds of dairy products, white wine was also a no-no for me for some reason.

I hope you get treatment soon, ( hopefully by key-hole ) good luck. xxxx

I've always followed a rather 'tight' diet, but even more so now. No dairy foods, not fats etc, can't now tolerate wine of any type, but have a drop of brandy in water last thing at night. It seems to be my only pleasure these days. However, it doesn't make me loose weight, and I've always had 'bad' digestive problems all me life.
Good Luck

Rachel - when I had mine, I'm afraid in my day we did not have breathing exercises, you just screamed till it was over. But I know what you mean by that. Can you just clarify for me, which way to rock,is it side to side, or back to front. Really thick at this you know.
