But like everything if it dont work get it sorted by Hospital
Worth a note that most gall stones never cause any problems at all

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 5 Aug 2008 12:38

I understand what you are saying Liz but personally I'd try everything to avoid surgery!!

And although it sounds extreme.... its actually quite easy to do!

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 5 Aug 2008 00:24

Its extreme.... but after 2 days I felt better than I had done in years!

Liver & Gallbladder Cleanse (without the need for surgery)

Ingredients

½ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil = 125ml
1 Big Grapefruit or 2 small Oranges (or 3 Lemons)
4 tablespoon EPSOM salts
3 cups of water (750 ml)
4-6 Ornithine Capsules to help you sleep

Choose a day for the cleanse when you will be able to rest the next day

Take no medicines, vitamins or pills that you can do without – Do take medicines that are essential to your well being

Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal with fruit, fruit juice, baked potato or other vegetables with salt only (no butter or milk). This allows the bile to build up and develop pressure in the liver. Higher pressure pushes out more stones.

2pm
Do not eat or drink after 2pm. If you break this rule you could feel quite ill later.
Get your Epsom Salts ready. Mix 4 tbs in 750 ml of water and pour this into a jar. This make 4 serving ¾ cup each. Refrigerate to get ice cold (this is for convenience and taste only.

6pm
Drink one serving (3/4 cup) of the ice cold Epsom salts. You may also drink a few mouthfuls of water afterwards or rinse your mouth.
Get the olive oil and fruit out of the fridge to warm up.

8pm
Repeat by drinking another ¾ cup of Epsom Salts
Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is critical for success; don’t be more than 10 minutes late or early.

9.45pm
Pour ½ cup (measured) olive oil into a pint jar. Squeeze fruit by hand into a measuring cup, removing pulp. You should have at least ½ cup, More (upto ¾ cup) is best. Add this to the olive oil, close the lid and shake hard until mixed thoroughly.
Now visit the bathroom, even if it makes you late for your 10pm drink…. Do not be more than 10 minutes late.

10pm
Be ready for bed and set your alarm for 6am.

Stand by your bed and drink the potion you have mixed. Take 4 capsules of Ornithine with the first sips to make sure you sleep through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia. Drink within 5 minutes. (15 mins for elderly or frail person) YOU MUST DRINK THIS STANDING UP.

Lie down immediate or you may fail to get stones out if you don’t. The sooner you lie down the more stones that will be produced. As soon as the drink is down, lie down flat in bed on your back with your head high on pillows. Try to keep perfectly still for 20 minutes. You may feel stones travelling along the bile ducts like marbles (Thank you Epsom salts). GO TO SLEEP.

6am
Take your 3rd dose of Epsom salts. You may go back to bed – DO NOT TAKE THIS BEFORE 6AM

8am
Take your 4th and last Epsom salts.

10am
You may start to eat. Start with fresh juice. Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat regular food but keep it light. By supper you should be fully recovered.

How well did you do?

Expect diarrhoea in the morning. Use a flashlight to look for gallstones in the toilet with the bowel movement. Look for the GREEN kind, as this is proof that they are genuine Gallstones. Only bile from the liver is pea green. The bowel movement sinks but gallstones float because of the cholesterol inside… they maybe tan or green. You will need 2000 stones before the liver is clean enough to rid you of allergies or pain permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of them for a few days but as the stones travel forward you may need to repeat the cleanse (2 week interval needed between cleanses) NEVER CLEANSE WHEN YOU ARE ILL

Sometimes the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals that did not form into stones. They appear as “chaff” floating in the toilet bowl. It is just as important to cleanse the chaff as purging stones.

PLEASE BE AWARE YOU MAY FEEL TIRED, LETHARGIC OR QUITE ILL FOR ONE OR TWO DAYS AFTERWARDS…. This is just your body ridding itself of cholesterol.

I went to a retreat in Thailand in February and they have a liver flush treatment that is supposed to rid the body of gall stones..... its not pleasant as it involves Epsom salts, olive oil and orange juice..... not all together, but the results are amazing...... it would mean you lying still for quite a few hours and not being able to eat from 2pm to at least 11am the following day!!

I have the recipe if anyone seriously wants it..... PM me and I'll send it to you!

It surely has to be worth a try as they tell me it can mean the difference between having surgery or not!!

Oooo eck! I'm scared now!
Afew weeks ago I had a pelvic scan (Another prob) and they told me I had gallstones. Haven't had any probs yet though although I have to go have a liver function test cos one of them is quite near an opening that could effect my liver function apparently.
Going to practise the rocking thing right this minute!

ERCP is av often used non surgical way to remove gall stones
If they do do surgery then key hole surgery is often used
That is if you live in civilization
