I took my dog to the vets last week because he had a sore ear.

The vet picked him up and looked at him then said 'Im going to have to put him down'.

I said 'Why, because hes got a sore ear?'

He said 'No, hes getting heavy'.

I hope the one person in the world who has never heard that joke before, who lives in Outer Mongolia in a small tent and herds Yaks, is logged in and reads it.

That's the worsr part of having pets of any kind. We love them as part of the family, and losing them is as hard as losing a human member of the family.

I wonder if we will see a return of Robbie to Eastenders as Wellard was originally his dog.
