That's the worsr part of having pets of any kind. We love them as part of the family, and losing them is as hard as losing a human member of the family.

I wonder if we will see a return of Robbie to Eastenders as Wellard was originally his dog.

Eldrick,, I don't live in Outer Mongolia in a tent, nor do I herd Yaks, And I have to admit I hadn't heard the joke before.

I took my dog to the vets last week because he had a sore ear.

The vet picked him up and looked at him then said 'Im going to have to put him down'.

I said 'Why, because hes got a sore ear?'

He said 'No, hes getting heavy'.

I hope the one person in the world who has never heard that joke before, who lives in Outer Mongolia in a small tent and herds Yaks, is logged in and reads it.

It was very touching, I told OH, I am welling up. Reminded me when I had to have my cat put down..........
