BC -

TINS - a shed. Properly lined so the tins don't rust.

Under the stairs? Clear out the clutter - selling all that old toot at the boot fair will make enough money to buy TINS and proper things from the list. Kill two birds with one stone!

*admiring...she is good if a trifle wordy....pmsl... (at least shes not swearing tonight) lol....

Seriously though, Jill, Ihow would you go about making sure you dont walk down the street in two different colour shoes? Not me, I hasten to add!!!!!!!

mmm - sure it's not you? Sure the farting hasn't changed the colour of one of them?

Seriously, though - skirts or trousers? If you're wearing trousers it's not such a problem. If you're wearing a skirt then hey, bluff it out ... Difficult to do anything else under those circumstances. If it's someone else doing the odd-shoe shuffle you could just giggle. But under no circumstances laugh at them - it might be you one day!

Dear Aunty Jill,

A descendant of mine has sent me many tins which took me ages to open with my pitchfork......upon opening said tins I found a smelly broth with bits of fish and other unmentionable particles inside........she said it was a kind of upmarket soup (which I presume she means gruel) why do people have to give these pernicious concoctions such pretentios names.....soup indeed.......

I think I will return the favour and send her a few ox-tails to stew, see what she can make with them....... she will be calling it ox-tail soup .... ha-ha.....

Sally the peasant....

btw......please scribe to your friend, if she has a couple of pigs, her smells will not be noticed....

Oh - forgot to add - make sure you put your shoes on in daylight - getting dressed in the dark is never a good idea.

Hangovers are no excuse!

*relieved....ah that's the trick then, put the shoes on in daylight! I ...er...must tell my friend. Thank you Jill. So far my questions have been easy...I have a humdinger coming up...lol...

Sally

Comments about unknown people being evicted might make me think you have mentioned the BB prog. Not allowed. tsk tsk.

Fish soup. mmm. You could strain off the liquid from several tins and hurl mashed potato over the top and bung said concoction into ye olde breade oven. Fish pie?

Ox tail soup? Catchy. Could catch on. If things go on at this rate they'll be making soup out of weird things soon - tomatoes and potatoes and such like.

Re pitchfork - suggest you nobble some passing old retainer and request (politely) that they purchase you a "canne opener". You could have someone's eye out with a pitchfork - be careful.

As it's you BC

"Cheers Rudders"

If you can keep your figure when all about
Are losing theirs and blaming it on food.
If you can drive to work each Monday morning
And never once resort to being rude.
If you can work all day and come home cheerful
And not doze off as soon as you sit down;
Or spend each waking moment smiling
And have to practise in the mirror how to frown.

If every meal you ever cook is healthy
And you never let your family eat junk.
If you can drink and manage to stay sober
When everybody else is falling over drunk.
If you can dance all night and still look perfect
While all about are sweating like a horse
And every joke you ever tell is funny
Without resorting once to being coarse.

If you can flirt with men and keep your virtue
And not become the local common touch.
If you know that all your girlfriends love you
And their men do too – but none too much;
If you have a life that’s full of pleasure
And you never, ever stop to wonder why,
Then please don’t tell me any more about it
As I might just have to poke you in the eye.
