Not many of us around today then!

Glad you enjoyed your meal Linda, but I think you let the waiter off lightly by settling for a free drink. You should send the cleaning bill to them as well.

Mo must have had a good night because she hasn't been back on since.

Marilyn, I hope you enjoy your meal out, you deserve it. Don't forget to tell us what the other prezzie was.

Shelly will be coming back with bag loads of baby things today.

Rita, are you all right?

Afternoon everyone

Mo hope your grandson had a good birthday, I like the chicken in Mango and Lime, had that when I went to Nandos with my sister.

We are going out later to an Indian resturant, son's choice.

OH is asleep on sofa, bless him, he's been busy this morning, cut the grass, planted some bulbs and washed and hoovered the car while I was out enjoying myself horse riding with a friend

Hi All
sorry I have not been on. but my hand is stil playing me up and it is so painful it was fine one day when I say fine I mean getting better then it started swelling again and aching. so I am back on my pain killers.
I still cannot hold anything in it so I dont know what it is ? I should get the results from the x ray on Monday or Tuesday along with the water results. I expect it will bring more problem being as it is me.
then to make matters worse my gas boiler started making a terrrible rumbling noise and the casing rattled and shook so I told our estate manager "could you let the engineers know "(I have to go through her. )she said they cannot come out till monday afternoon ) so I have not been able to have heating on even if I had wanted it she told me this happens all the time to people boiler and nothing to worry about. it got so bad I had to shut the whole lot down, I have to laugh as she is only 30 years old and Polish and she really isnt suited for this job and I am not being unkind she talks to you as though you are a small child and know nothing.
she is only on from 9 in the morning to 12.30 three days a week and 9 till 1 o.clock the other two she has a flat and all her expenses are paid by us including her wages but she is employed by anchor trust..I often feel sorry for her but she has no go in her , so you see l have more problems.. perhaps I notice it more because I am getting old.

over the weekend and I felt really cold.
Mo one of the thread not sure which now had lots of replies about the X Factor someone said they didnt think the twins would get through and I think it was uggers said she would vote many times for them. . someone else said she blames the pensioners I can tell you it isnt the ones i know they think they are rubbish. people do vote for the ones others dont like I have noticed that before just to have a laugh.
I was as surpised as you they were still in.
well time for a cup of coffee, have to put the washing into the machine now.

Hope the Gas engineer comes quickly and does not let me down.

Hi Mo yes the boiler man came and fixed it for me it was a long job took 1 1./2 hours he said the boiler was filling up with water as it could not get through the pipes leading to the sink he showed me he said glad you turned it all off as the water level could have gone furher up and put the gas jets out they would not have exploded though. he cleaned everything and test all the raditors for me it is lovely now quiet and warm thank goodness for that.
Mo I read the x faxtor thread on Chat it is so funny some of the things they have said made me laught. your right about windup merchants.
I too like you use to go to the tupperware parties and have not used all the stuff even after all this time. I went to a silver ware as well and a porttery one never went to an Ann Sumers one though

Oh Rita, fancy missing an Ann Summers party, you have not lived unless you have been to one.
Talk about laugh, especially when she set of a lot of,oh how can I say this,
things that need batteries to keep them going, across the living room floor.
Not one person at the party bought one,for fear of having the mickey taken out of them.
Thinking that their husbands could not do their duty.
Sorry if this offends I will delete. Mo

Rita, glad to see you've got your heating sorted out, you need it today, it's freezing.

Mo, I've still got tupperware that I haven't used yet, been there years it has.

My sister-in-law invited me to a tupperware party, and when I got there it was an Ann Summers party. I was late, so I got quite a shock when I walked in and saw a different kind of lunch box. I remember thinking how tupperware had changed since the last time I was at a party........LOL

Yes Linda, I've heard that one before.....LOL, what did you really buy at that party?

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 19 Oct 2009 16:32

Hi Everyone,

Now talking about Ann Summers, my friend had one and the hostess said to her have one of your children got a train set ?

Well you never guess what for,as she set it up in a circle the hostess put each small gadget on each carriage and there we were watching all these so called objects going around & around.
The hostess said not many people want to touch these things so I find this is the best way to advertise them, so take your pick !!!
So that sent everyone in tears of laughter !!! my friend bought some sexy sugar that was suppose to make him more sexy, so she put it in his tea and he was sick .

Never went to another one after that.....LOL
Oh Memories ....!!

I stayed with Tupperware ...

I wish I gone to one of those parties now I have been sitting here laughing at you all.
my heating is lovely I am very warm thank goodness for that.
Funny about my hand I have not had any results so will have to try and get intouch with them tomorrow trying to get them on the telephone is a nightmare. I thought if it was that important surely they would contact me. ?
The thing is one day it is fine a bit sore they next minute it gets red and starts hurting gets quiet hot as well. I wonder if it is Gout ? i have not even had the water test back either. I am worried about it now and again but try not too.
still lets try and forget it for tonight anyway. not much on TV either so I think I will sit and read for awhile.
Thanks for the reminder Mariyn about the clocks I had wondered when they altered.
The weather forcarst said the weather was going to get colder so I put another blanket on my bed just incase I can always take it off if it gets to hot during the night.
I must tell you this I have spoken before about the old couple in the flat above mine Dot is 90 and her husband is 88.they give me veg from their allotment he is losing his sight and a bit wobbly on his legs so he has the allotment still but his nephew does the work on it and brings the veg to Ted.. the other day I had said to him I will be glad when my hand is better and I can clear the old plants out of the little bit of garden I have in the front of my living room as it is beginign to look unsightly.
I was siting in my chair this afernoon and dosed off for half an hour I woke and wondered who it was I could see out the front window it was Ted he had only cleared all the old plants out the front for me.
I was near to tears when I saw what he had done.
I thought there are not many people about these days who would do something like that.
