Horsehair mattresses were very scratchy. Had a flock mattress when we married first. Our palliases were straw filled, and not bad. Have also slept on my stepmothers feather bed. How things change! |

Hello Jean, we treated ourselves to a new bed and it was delivered beginning of January........it was supposed to have a sprung base and a sprung mattress with a layer of foam on the top of the mattress...... |
