Hope you dont mind Lou....but I love these words taken them from one of Nana Lynns thoughts of the day...

By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right,
he usually has a son who thinks he's wrong. !!!

You don't raise heroes, you raise sons. If you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes. !!!

The first woman a little boy falls in love with is his mum. !!!

Hayley, Of course I don't mind, those words are really lovely, I've made a copy of them for future reference and for his ' box'. They are so meaningfull.

Thanks to you all I can't help but notice how many of your are kind enough to take the time to send such messages. It's really appreciated and I'm going to print them all of and give them to his mum and dad.

thanks again,

Lou

Marion, yes I could, I don't know why we say that as a mean of expressing love, but I could really eat him, he's so georgous.

A beautiful poem by Rudyard Kipling

'if' by rudyard kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master,
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

I think it says it all about our boys.

Sue, that's lovely, Thank you so much, for taking the time to type it in,

You know it never ceases to amaze me how kind total strangers and how we all band together to share in someones happiness or try to help in times of stress or hardship. True friendsips are not always those that we know and hold close, but a strangers kind words or gestures can mean so much more.

Thanks again to you all for sharing in our happiness.

Many Congratulations, I though you may enjoy this;-
God made little Boys it seems,
To answer every parents dream.
For expectations are begun,
When he sends down a little son.
A son to teach the golden rule,
To watch as he goes goes off to school.
To marvel at his happy face.
Everytime he wins a race.
Playing tricks and and funny pranks,
Learing to say Please and thanks.
Yes, God brings endless pleasure,
When he sends down a little boy to treasure.
