Help. downloaded explorer 8 yesterday and now my internet pages are all haywire. No bookmarks, page only 3/4 size of screen , have to sign in everytime I go to mail though I didnt have to before. How do I get back to explorer 7? |

If you have no restore point & downloaded IE8 as a windows update,try the following. |

On the top line of IE8 next to the refresh and stop buttons is a green box. This is a compatibility button, just click on this and pages at a given site will appear normal in future. |

Thanks, everyone. Have found a way to bypass logging in every time, by going straight to internet explorer icon on my desktop. Have now got the full page instead of half a page and am able to add the few sites I needed to my favourites, which I havent used for ages. I always used bookmarks, which seems non functional now, or at least, I cant work it! Will save your info in case I find I do need to change back to explorer 7. |
