	Marriage is not a word. It is a sentence--a life sentence. Marriage is very much like a violin; after the sweet music is over, the strings are attached. Marriage is love. Love is blind. Therefore, marriage is an institution for the blind. Marriage is an institution in which a man loses his Bachelor's Degree and the woman gets her Masters. Marriage is a thing which puts a ring on a woman's finger and two under the man's eyes. Marriage certificate is just another word for a work permit. Marriage is not just a having a wife, but also worries inherited forever. Marriage requires a man to prepare 4 types of "rings": * The Engagement Ring * The Wedding Ring * The Suffe-Ring * The Endu-Ring

	If marriage is as bad as your write up McB...........I'm glad I never took the plunge.........lol I've been with my oh for 17 years but at least I don't have to bother with the Rings..........lol

	Interesting that the view on marriage appears to be that of a man - and ladies have replied!!! LOL I tried it once and outgrew him! We had 2 daughters and - guess what - they've outgrown him too!! LOL When youngest was a student in Brighton, she asked me how she could stop her dad visiting as all HE wanted to do was go clubbing - and she found that boring!!

	Dear All Marriage is a partnership. Each one is of equal value and has equal responsibilities. Mutual respect and trust are the key ingredients. Without them, a marriage does not last. That is my view. Best wishes. x
