Did anyone see the 74 year old breakdancing on it? I didn't but heard today on the radio that he receives disability benefit and is being investigated. Oooppss:))

Uggers, and also has a disability car, or so I read in the Sunday's.. You ask me he wants his brain investigating. Who in their right minds would come on national tv. when claiming benefits, and hope not to be found out.

I think "break dancing" was a tad like saying I look like Elizabeth Taylor in her youth Uggers!

I felt sorry for the poor old guy - he looked like yer uncle dancing at a wedding - BUT - he was jolly with it and said that he works 7 nights a week at nightclubs ("dancing" I assume, unless he's behind the bar).

I guess if he's claiming invalidity benefit or something he should be investigated, but he looked a little "touched" to me - bless him

I'm going to have to have a gander at him on youtube. I obviously don't know all the ins and outs of their business but my neighbours have a free car and they were still able to work on the sly so I never go that either :)

I cannot understand how he gets a car/car allowance and at his age it is not a disablility allowance (believe that finishes at 65) and is replaced by two levels of attendance allowance - the higher is about £70 per week and is payable only if you require 24 hr care.

Have friend on higher rate of attendance allowance and she could do with car as cannot walk anywhere. Would love to know how you get it.

Chris - you can have DLA after the age of 65 as long as you were already recieving it - you can't submit a claim for DLA after your 65th birthday.

To be honest I'm furious and people like the breakdancing old man make my blood boil.

My Dad was getting DLA middle rate for care and higher rate for mobility - twice I appealed to have the higher care rate and was refused, until a Social worker from the Hospice got involved................ My Dad is part paralyised down the right side, has a colostomy, is end of life care and needed help with everything !! But they refused until the Social worker got involved.

And here we have a man who can breakdance claiming DLA care and mobility both on the high rate.
Rant over !!!!!
