It just gave me an idea....

Just imagine, Suzi Quatro for Chelmsford. Keith Flint from Prodigy for Braintree, Stephen Fry for Norwich, Robbie Williams for Stoke on Trent....

If we had to pick a local celeb to be our MP, who would yours be?

I think mine would have to be Stephen Fry, I'm sure he's the most well known round here.

Good point, Glenda Jackson did do well as an MP, but there's not comparison between Ms Jackson and Mr Van Day....lol

Uggers, that's another flippin' keyboard you owe me! lol

Actually, he's worse than GR members, remember NOBODY got along with him in the jungle.

Well except Timmy Mallet but he doesn't count lol

Uggers

Uggers Report 26 May 2009 19:38

I've always thought David Van Day was as mad as a GR member personally but who knows if he could make a good MP or not. Esther Rantzen is a different kettle of fish entirely and she might get my vote if I was in Luton. I've always quite admired her values.

Glenda Jackson has quite a good reputation as an MP didn't she?

David V Day will always be turning up late for ministers' question time cos he will still be in the gents brushing his eyebrows and touching up his makeup! lol

You couldn't make it up could you? Yet if one of the ordinary folks in the street, like you or me, with some good ideas on how the country should be run fancied a bash, nobody would be interested

That's what I was thinking Jean.

Esther is a seasoned campaigner, but not political. She said she will definitely stand if the Luton MP (forgot her name for now) does not stand down, and is seriously thinking of standing anyway.

Teresa...believe me I think he could do worse lol. I should think it's just a publicity stunt... after all his name hasn't been in the media for all of 4 weeks.

Joking apart if Esther is standing for the right reasons then I would think she could make quite a good MP.

Oh crikes. When Dollar split (cos no one bought their records anymore) he set up a burger van, nothing wrong with that, but can't see him being an MP and I wouldn't vote for him.

Ole Es though, I recon she'd be ok.
