Running Bear Report 28 May 2009 10:35

Mother of mine you gave to me,
all of my life to do as I please,
I owe everything I have to you,
Mother sweet Mother of mine.

Mother of mine when I was young
you showed me the right way things had to be done,
without your arms where would I be,
Mother sweet Mother of mine.

CHORUS
Mother you gave me happiness,
much more than words can say,
I thank the lord let me breath with you,
every night and every day.

Mother of mine now I am grown
and I can walk straight all on my own,
I'd like to give you what you gave to me,
Mother sweet Mother of mine.

absolutely!

the last couple of years - and especially last few months have been a nightmare, and she's been so supportive of me, whilst caring for my Gran, and looking after my adopted 12 year old sister, who has a multitude of issues! We don't live that close to each other, see her every few weeks, but emotionally she is always here for me.

Yes I love my mum very much not a day goes by without me thinking of her and still 7 years after her death something funny will happen and go to phone her to tell her. Although there were times we were angry with each other and would clash ( both of us very head strong lol) we had a bond that ensured no matter what we would be there for each other, she was my best friend.

i don't think people appreciate their mothers until they are parents
the sacrifices they make for you, i know my mum worked 3 jobs to keep us fed and clothed and now her health suffers as a result. It's my father i would like to give a good shake to

I had no idea how much I loved my Mother until I watched her die

Yes I love my Mum dearly although she isn't always easy to like. My Dad was a warm, gentle, loving man and I miss him so much. My Mum can be a tough woman and hasn't got a sentimental bone in her body. Since Dad passed away I've made a point of telling Mum I love her and she is responding to that. She had a tough upbringing without a lot of love and affection so I want her to feel loved. Dad adored her and I still want her to feel adored.

My mother vanished when I was a little girl ... I've never ever stopped loving her. I don't condone her behaviour ... can't, from the moment I held my own child in my arms, I knew that I could never do what she did, yet I still cry sometimes, miss her dreadfully, even though really I don't know her.

A hug, to know what she looked like ...

I forgave her a long time ago, can never forget her though.

Please love your mothers, they are precious.

My Mum died when I was 5 years old, and even now at the age of 52 would just love to have her give me a hug or to hear her voice - a memory I do not have.

My Father was like that toward me Hayley, no matter what I did, my sisters were always better in his eyes, and in the end only had me to help him nearer his demise.

He was so sad that they didn't come to see him but didn't accept the fact that I had tried so hard to be the daughter he wanted.......I just learned to accept it, bitter as it was. Some blood ties are hard to cut permanantly.

I still loved him though...The old so and so lol

Oh don't start me off....'sniff' I loved my Mum and know she loved us, she drove us up the wall at times ( being teenagers ).....not sure she liked me though lol

Edit: I think one can forgive almost anything as long as it is not done deliberately. My Mum did her best as I did too.

UzziAndHerDogs

UzziAndHerDogs Report 27 May 2009 23:27

What I am trying to say is that it matters who is lying and why. as to how you forgive. As said my Mum never set out to hurt anybody.

I forgive my mum time and time and time again fot the little lies, after all this time I have to forgive her for the bigger ones also.

see my mum is a born liar , ...no intentions of hurting anyone , just she has to lie, bit Walter Mitty stuff so lady who ever has done this that and well

for ages i ignored it, then I got angry and showed her up.

Now I cover up for her , aslong as I don't have to lie.

Stupid bit is she wasn't lying about her childhood she might be a lady

Regardless to that what would you do ?

Did not realize how much until she was gone :O(

On a lighter note as I say to my girls , if there are times that you do not like me, I must be doing something right ;O) (normally when they have to tidy their rooms :O)
