If Clairjo gives me here address I'll be around there....! LOL!
How's about:
tomato bruscetta
beef stroganoff
tiramisu trifle
If Alice was there, then, of course, it would be a Stinking Bishop cheese on the cheeseboard! (just won the prize for the pongiest British cheese, I believe!):

My OH loves that programme and I taped the celebrity one with Ulrika and Helen Lederer.......what a ditzy lady......great fun....

My favourite meal would be.....one starter that I often have for lunch......scallops with streaky bacon on a mixed green & rocket salad with white balsamic vinegar.....and a few sliced cherry tomatoes....

Main......saute potatoes, peas, baby carrots, broccoli or zuchini with a tournados rossini.......not necessarily with truffles.....

Sweet......don't normally eat them, prefer a cheese board with fresh fruit.........but a simple strawberry or raspberry pavlova, or a creme brulee or creme caramel would go down nicely....

as you can see......I am a glutton......I love my food...

Baked Strawberry Cheesecake Veg CD DP 50mins plus chilling

Serves 8 Cold Vegetarian Fruit Dessert Pudding

Ingredients
For the base
225g/8oz Digestive Biscuits, crushed
75g/3oz Butter, melted
For the filling
450g/1lb Cream Cheese
1 teasp Vanilla Essence
3 eggs
75g/3oz sugar
125g/5oz Crème Fraîche or Soured Cream

Other Ingredients

400g/14oz Fresh Strawberries, hulled and halved
3 tbsp Redcurrant Jelly

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 170C, 325F, Gas Mark 3.

2. Mix the digestive biscuits and butter in a bowl until thoroughly blended then press evenly into a 25cm/10 inch spring-form cake tin. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until soft then beat in the vanilla essence and eggs until well blended. Add the sugar and crème fraîche and continue to beat until well mixed.

4. Spoon the filling onto the baked base and smooth down lightly. Return to the oven at the same temperature and bake until just set, about 25-35 minutes. Cool and chill for 2 hours, before unmoulding.

5. Place the redcurrant jelly in a small saucepan with 2 teaspoons of water and heat gently, stirring until it dissolves. Brush half of it over the surface of the cheesecake.

6. Arrange the strawberries over the top. Reheat the redcurrant glaze a little, then brush generously over the strawberries. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Well the things I'd like to have with cheese or cream are no longer possible, as I'm now lactose intollerent.

So

Prawns in garlic oil with maybe a little french bread, for mopping up the oil.
Medium fillet steak with a few fries and whatever.
I don't do desserts these days but if there's room just fresh strawberries, naked!
The strawberries, not me!

Dear All

Hello

I would skip the starter and go straight to the main course of
roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, parsnips and vegetables
BUT no meat. Lots of gravy with mint sauce.

I am more or less a vegetarian!

For pudding, strawberry cheescake.

Afterwards, my favourite a cup of tea!

Or good old fish and chips, with plenty of vinegar and a light
sprinking of sea salt.

Lovely.

Best wishes
xx

Stilton on half an avocdo, grilled, with balsamic vinegar and plenty of rocket.

That is the best starter I have ever had.

I can't decide about the main.

For a birthday,we once did the trip on the P&O ferry where you don't get off but you come back in the Langan's Brasserie.

If you do it make sure you have the cheeseboard.Three huge pieces of gorgeous cheese that I have never seen in the shops.

Now I wish it was my birthday again and I said I wasn't going to have any more,aw shucks!
