How sweet is to roam by the sunny Shure stream And hear the doves coo 'neath the morning sunbeam Where the thrush and the robin their sweet notes entwine On the banks of the Shure that flows down by Mooncoin. Flow on, lovely river, flow gently along By your waters so sweet sounds the lark's merry song On your green banks I wander where first I did join With you, lovely Molly, the rose of Mooncoin.
Oh Molly, dear Molly, it breaks my fond heart To know that we two forever must part I'll think of you Molly while sun and moon shine On the banks of the Shure that flows down by Mooncoin.
Then here's to the Shure with its valley so fair As oftimes we wandered in the cool morning air Where the roses are blooming and lilies entwine On the banks of the Shure that flows down by Mooncoin.
Flow on, lovely river, flow gently along By your waters so sweet sounds the lark's merry song On your green banks I wander where first I did join With you, lovely Molly, the rose of Mooncoin.

How pleasant to roam by the sunny Suir stream To hear the birds sing 'Neath the morning sunbeam Where the thrush and the robin Their sweet notes entwine On the banks of the Suir That flows down by Mooncoin
Flow on lovely river, flow gently along By your waters so pure Sounds the lark's merry song On your green banks I'll wander Where first I did join With you lovely Molly, the Rose of Mooncoin

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes Silver white winters that melt into springs These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites When the bee stings When I'm feeling sad I simply remember my favorite things And then I don't feel so bad

Rose, Rose, Ro-ose Rose, Rose, Ro-ose
This is the last time I'll walk into this garden All alone without the one I love 'Cause today is the day I'm gonna bring Rose back to stay Oh, I've waited patiently Now the time is right for me So I'll reach down Right to the ground And pick a rose for my Rose 'Cause somehow I know she knows This love deep in my heart is still alive I'll pick a rose for my Rose 'Cause today I'm gonna go And bring her back to be right by my side
Rose, Rose, Rose Rose, Rose, Rose
Years ago when I was just a poor boy And her weathly fam'ly didn't fancy me So they sent my Rose away To a far off lonely place When it was time to leave My Rose cried out to me, "Remember me" That's why you see I'll pick a rose for my Rose 'Cause somehow I know she knows This love deep in my heart is still alive I'll pick a rose for my Rose 'Cause today I'm gonna go And bring her back to be right by my side
(Rose, Rose, Rose) I'm comin' Rose (Rose, Rose) I'm comin' Rose
Now as I walk slowly from this garden A train ticket held tightly in my hand And somewhere patiently My Rose is waiting there for me I won't be alone 'Cause I'll bring my Rose back home And be a ride for her surprise I'll pick a rose for my Rose 'Cause today I'm gonna go And bring her back to be right by my side I'm comin' Rose (Rose for my Rose) I'm comin' Rose (Somehow I know she knows) Oh-ooh, this love deep in my heart is still alive (Rose for my Rose) Rose, Ro-ose, Ro-o-o-se (Somehow I know she knows) This love deep in my heart is still alive Ooh-ooooooooooooh

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden. Along with the sunshine, There's gotta be a little rain sometimes. When you take, you gotta give, so live and let live, Or let go. I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.
I could promise you things like big diamond rings, But you don't find roses growin' on stalks of clover. So you better think it over. Well, if sweet-talkin' you could make it come true, I would give you the world right now on a silver platter, But what would it matter? So smile for a while and let's be jolly: Love shouldn't be so melancholy. Come along and share the good times while we can.
I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden. Along with the sunshine, There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.
Instrumental break.
I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.
I could sing you a tune or promise you the moon, But if that's what it takes to hold you, I'd just as soon let you go, but there's one thing I want you to know. You better look before you leap, still waters run deep, And there won't always be someone there to pull you out, And you know what I'm talkin' about. So smile for a while and let's be jolly: Love shouldn't be so melancholy. Come along and share the good times while we can.
I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden. Along with the sunshine, There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.

She ain't got no money Her clothes are kinda funny Her hair is kinda wild and free Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me
She talks kinda lazy And people say she she's crazy And her life's a mystery Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me
There's something about her hand holding mine It's a feeling that's fine And I just gotta say She's really got a magical spell And it's working so well That I can't get away
I'm a lucky fella And I've just got to tell her That I love her endlessly Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me

I'm a lucky fella And I've just got to tell her That I love her endlessly Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me
Fadeout: It keeps growing every place she's been And nobody knows like me
If you've met her, you'll never forget her And nobody knows like me
La la la- believe it when you've seen it Nobody knows like me

Well I'm sitting on a windowsill, blowing my horn Nobody's up except the moon and me, And a lazy old tomcat on a midnight spree All that you left me was a melody. Rosie, why do you evade? Rosie, how can I persuade? Rosie...
And the moon's all up, full and big, apricot tips in an indigo sky, And I've been loving you, Rosie, since the day I was born And I'll love you, Rosie 'til the day I die. Rosie, why do you evade? Rosie, how can I persuade? Rosie...

"Kiss From A Rose"
There used to be a graying tower alone on the sea. You became the light on the dark side of me. Love remained a drug that's the high and not the pill. But did you know, That when it snows, My eyes become large and The light that you shine can be seen. Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray. Ooh, The more I get of you, The stranger it feels, yeah. And now that your rose is in bloom. A light hits the gloom on the gray. There is so much a man can tell you, So much he can say. You remain, My power, my pleasure, my pain, baby To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny. Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby? But did you know, That when it snows, My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen. Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray. Ooh, the more I get of you The stranger it feels, yeah Now that your rose is in bloom. A light hits the gloom on the gray, I've been kissed by a rose on the gray, I've been kissed by a rose I've been kissed by a rose on the gray, ...And if I should fall along the way I've been kissed by a rose ...been kissed by a rose on the gray. There is so much a man can tell you, So much he can say. You remain My power, my pleasure, my pain. To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny, yeah Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby. But did you know, That when it snows, My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen. Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray. Ooh, the more I get of you The stranger it feels, yeah Now that your rose is in bloom, A light hits the gloom on the gray. Yes I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray Ooh, the more I get of you The stranger it feels, yeah And now that your rose is in bloom A light hits the gloom on the gray Now that your rose is in bloom, A light hits the gloom on the gray.

The pale moon was rising above the green mountain, The sun was declining beneath the blue sea; When I strayed with my love to the pure crystal fountain, That stands in the beautiful Vale of Tralee. She was lovely and fair as the rose of the summer, Yet 'twas not her beauty alone that won me; Oh no, 'twas the truth in her eyes ever dawning, That made me love Mary, the Rose of Tralee.
The cool shades of evening their mantle were spreading And Mary all smiling sat listening to me; The moon through the valley her pale rays were shining When I won the heart of the Rose of Tralee. She was lovely and fair as the rose of the summer, Yet 'twas not her beauty alone that won me; Oh no, 'twas the truth in her eyes ever dawning, That made me love Mary, the Rose of Tralee.
On the far fields of India, mid war's bloody thunder, Her voice was a solace and comfort to me, But the cold hand of death has now torn us asunder I'm lonely tonight for my Rose of Tralee. She was lovely and fair as the rose of the summer, Yet 'twas not her beauty alone that won me; Oh no, 'twas the truth in her eyes ever dawning, That made me love Mary, the Rose of Tralee.

The Rose Some say love it is a river That drowns the tender reed. Some say love it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love it is a hunger An endless, aching need I say love it is a flower, And you it's only seed.
It's the heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken, Who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dying That never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely And the road has been too long. And you think that love is only For the lucky and the strong.
Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snow Lies the seed that with the sun's love, In the spring, becomes the rose.
