I would also like to have been a writer. Not too late now I hear you say. I'm writing the family history which I will bind and give to the family so I won't be frustrated forever.

I too would have liked to have been a librarian. I even considered applying for a job once but it involved travelling around to different libraries and as I dont drive was a bit restrictive.

I just love books, the smell of them the feel of them. Then of course its the stamping of the date in the books lol

I also have an obsession with filing and the idea of "filing away" the returned books is just up my street. lololol

When I went to ballet classes as a very young child I wanted to be a Ballet Dancer.Apparently I was a bit heavy on the thighs!!!!!!!!!.so bang went that career lol.Then when I grew up I wanted to join the Police Force.........I was 2 inches too short............bang went that career.....I eventually became a nurse.Thank god they didn't care what shape or size I was .I loved it.

I have huge respect for Leslie Garrett, love her singing and would just love to go to one of her concerts.

if i couldnt have been a mum then i always wanted to be a copper ..

I wanted to be a lighting technician for concerts, theatre etc but my mum and the careers officers rolled their eyes, gave a "hark at that silly girl" chuckle then told me I was the wrong gender and signed me up for clerical college lol

I would of loved to be able to sing, sadly I cant as those of you that have heard me spontaneously burst into song knows lol

Well, at least the world has been spared one more opera singer ...

Had the talent, brain, etc -- but in the 50s and 60s, brainy girls grew up to be librarians. I did escape that one, by the skin of my teeth.

Harpic how could I be a writer when I am dylexic..lol I would have to direct as well..to fully explain how I had written it....and of course play the starring role..
