After all the latest fiasco with the goverment i cant see the point in it mysef.

I may call in at the voting booth to see if there is anybody willing to listen to my case. the neighbourhood watch at the back of me have changed the locks on the gate and refusing to allow me access. I use that gate to cycle to and from work. Been trying for probably a year now to get a key and nobody will let me borrow one to get one cut as they have all been told not to let me have one. Been to a solicitor but its going to cost me too much to take action. The deeds of my house say I have right of way to all passages leading to the rear of my property.
So while the mp's are claiming their allowances the honest working person cant even get any interest in a key that costs less than a fiver!!!!!!

It really is a must for everyone to do it regardless of what is going on.

The main parties are all as bad as each other at the moment. I would hate the lack of voting because of this to give the opportunity to some of the more extreme parties to get in. So I will go along as usual and put my mark.

Isn't this the European Elections? I think it's really important to vote as they control what really seems to go on in this country.

I shall vote I always do, as everyone says if I don't vote I can't moan. Still I might vote for the Raving Loony party this time, oh sorry they are already in lol.

Most definately. We have only ever missed one vote in 40 years when we were in the course of moving house.

And yes I agree, if you don't vote you loose your right to complain.

Yes I'll be voting - always do. I am as disillusioned as most people are at the moment, but it is the only way I can 'have a say'. We have both European and County Council elections here in Warwickshire.

Yes I'll be voting, I agree with DET Emily Pankhurst and Co went through to much for me to waste my vote, then at least I cant moan whoever gets in. What makes me sad is my daughters never vote although I have they know the story of the Pankhursts, and I think its inportant.

Just reading your point, Chris, re. voter apathy - I can't help but feel like perhaps the state we're in now is the result of a vicious cycle. We don't feel like voting because we don't feel like we're heard, so - as with the last general election - Labour got in because the turnout was only around 60%. So the MPs probably thought they could do as they liked re. expenses because a big chunk of the voters weren't voting.

Went to the polling station one hour ago and I was the 100th person to vote so far today.

That is disgusting turnout so far as more than 100 people live in the same street as me.

Local paper did not print any info on the candidates and just referred you to their website - which did not have any details either.

Had 2 leaflets through the door - LAB and CON - but there were 12 different parties on the voting slip - 6 of whom I had not heard of before so how could anyone vote for them.
