as said Muffy, she made herself look a right idiot...she thought she was gonna get a cabinet job, got snubbed and then stuck the knife in the next day.......what a plum..

It took me a great deal of will power not to put my laptop through the telly too. Never like her before, but after that display of condescending attitude she went further down in my estimation. grrrr

That comment nearly broke my telly when I saw it on QT !!!.

Good job i'm such a rubbish aim lol xx

Yes but don't forget, as the great *cough* Margaret Becket said, we'd never understand it if they explained it to us!

Got no respect for Caroline Flint after her sucking up speech defending Gordon Brown last night.

How can you ever believe a word she says if she can big him up one day and put the knife in the next ?xx

***edit*** Mind she is a politician I suppose so I guess I shouldn't be surprised lol xx

I'm not sure it's JUST the expenses scandal, I think that was the catalyst for certain. But weren't the country already disatisfied with the way GB has handled the economic problems, especially the way he buried his head in the sand in the early days of this recession, about the continual denial that the war in Iraq was illegal, and the fact that both Labour PMs have pandered to the USA regardless?

The expenses was the final straw I think.

With Caroline Flint it's just a case of sour grapes because she didn't get the cabinet position she wanted.

I wonder if it's occurred to her that she might not have been good enough!

Kay????

Kay???? Report 5 Jun 2009 19:20

They are only stepping down because their thieving scam was outed.

David Cameron made £75 grand on his house sale, but still claimed all the utitity and interest rates for his next home,,!!hes kept pretty quite about that!

I hope GB can prove himself while the *rats *hop off a sinking ship.
So much for solidarity.

At this stage no party will do better than each other at this stage.....

Flat cap and on your feet come to mind>

Well, they normally have a holiday around about now, anyway, don't they... just have an early recession, and ask Sir Alan Sugar and Dot Cotton to caretake for a couple of months.... would be far more interesting, I think, and a much better chance they would have of turning things around, lol!!

And I am only semi-joking!!

Love

Mind you Muffy, GB was so desperate to get the PM job (handed on a plate) that he'll hang on as desperately as he can until the very death but I think come Monday he wont have much choice....i hope he'll go..

Caroline Flint has made herself look a right burk imho.

I wouldn't want it, and I don't think any free-thinking person would, but it seems to be the way they are leaning at the moment.

Simply because it gives them the chance as the ruling government to sort the political mess out, and be seen to do so, BEFORE they call a general election.

Up to today I might have agreed with that, but not now, not after all the resignations/promises to stand down, that we've seen over the last 2 days.

Muffyxx Report 5 Jun 2009 19:02

Do you think they'll get away with 2 unelected PMs in one term though TW.

I don't think it's a goer .......can't see the public swallowing that again xx

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 5 Jun 2009 18:59

It looks like we will be having a general election in October at this rate.

Either that or this will force a new leadership, until the next planned general election..

Muffyxx Report 5 Jun 2009 18:59

I've got a feeling he may well hold on Whirls.......but it's no matter........the damage has been done now...both to his government but more importantly and sadly to our country. Whether he is leader or not the next PM has an even more poisoned chalice than GB inherited from Bliar. Taxes will HAVE to increase next year whoever is in.......

I'm not bothered about him personally going. I just want them Out now...... I've more than had enough of them.
