I was the second of 23 grandchildren and I tried to say Grandma, but the closest I got was "Gig". Her children-in-law adopted this name for her as they had Mums of their own, (and you didn't call your mother-in-law by her christian name in those days) so it followed that their children called her that too. Her husband was Pop. My other grandparents were Granny and Grandfather. |

I didn't have any grandparents as they had already passed away when I was born. My children call their's nan and grandad. Great Grandparents are gran and Nanny. |

mine both sets of parents already had grandchildren by the time mine come along so their grandparent names were already established ~ I already told mine I'l be Nan x |
