Not Quite what you are looking for, but allegedly there is a fad in Japan for "special" skirts..........

They are Printed on the rear side to look transparent,
( but actually are NOT) and showing various types of underwear slip ups......

bit of an eye opener and a topic of conversation, methinks!!!

Broggy, Applaud your decision. However, if you are going to rush out and buy yourself a skirt, start hunting now.

Don't know what it is like on your side of the planet but down here skirts are not exactly readily available in the shopping precincts.

I needed one for a wedding and had to go to a country town boutique to find what I wanted.

Of couse it depends on the type of skirt you are looking for. If it's 12 inches above the knee, tight fitting, covered in sequins, frayed at the hem, with a big leather belt and bright pink..... you should look a real treat on your date!

Just shave your legs and buy a deccent pair of tights and the correct shade...I like next holds up in grey very smart..

I asked the question because someone very special has asked me to wear a skirt to a special occasion. But he thinks he may be old fashioned for liking them.

But to be honest, if he asked me to wear a bin bag with a glittery belt & Doc Martens, I probably would.

Dohhhh Penny dropped pmsl I am such a thicko, I was scratching my head at the slippers... did I tell you I nearly went to work in them on Moday..lol Luckily OH was here..and I have washed them..

If I am at home slippers of course but I always wear a heel on account of my short fat legs..I have to dress smartly for work..:-))))

I like skirts but have trouble finding comfortable shoes to wear with them so prefer trousers/jeans when I can wear trainers or similar. Unless dressed up of course when I will suffer for the cause.

Maria it depends on your shape and what you feel comfy in I wear long pencil skirts ideal for my figure I have a very small waist but short fat legs..

I usually wear skirts, long ones; I have lots, all colours & thicknesses + denim ones for work.

Skirts are lovely & cool in the hot weather ... allow the air to circulate. lol

In summer I like to wear light floaty skirts because they are cooler than shorts - and I don't look good in shorts:)) I have a nice skirt and jacket for going out. I haven't owned a frock for years.
