Even more chuffed to see him apologise.

Uggers

Uggers Report 11 Jun 2009 20:22

lol Cat

I thought I heard something about that today, Teresa. Good. I find him unnecessarily aggressive and I don't think there's any need for the amount of swearing he does *on the telly*. I've long thought he was a mysogynist too....

ChAoTicintheNewYear

ChAoTicintheNewYear Report 11 Jun 2009 20:24

Well I don't think it'll make any difference to the way he acts. I suspect that he'll be pleased by the fact that he's got the publicity even if it's negative publicity.

Uggers

Uggers Report 11 Jun 2009 20:27

You're probably right, Cat

Alice, I don't think he an awful man or anything like that but I think he deserved the reaction he's got.

SueMaid Report 11 Jun 2009 20:27

Tracy Grimshaw is so popular here in Aus. so he really did himself a disservice by having a go at her. So they sent me in to give him a right telling off - I quite good at that:)) Then his Mum made him apologise.

DIZZI

DIZZI Report 11 Jun 2009 20:28

I LIKE HIM ,
IF YOU KNEW THAT THE
PLACES YOU EAT WAS DIRTY AND
SERVED ROTTON FOOD WHAT WOULD YOU DO

PS
DIDNT SEE IT

Uggers

Uggers Report 11 Jun 2009 20:31

Sue, my mother would have whacked my head if I had spoken to a woman like that :))

I don't eat anywhere dirty or that serves rotten food, Dizzi.

Uggers

Uggers Report 11 Jun 2009 20:33

Diane, I've probably spelt it wrong but a misogynist is a man who has issues with women.

I've got no problem with swearing but I don't think there's any need for him to swear all the time on his programme or *at* people in the way he does

Julie

Julie Report 11 Jun 2009 20:36

I like watching him & agree his swearing is out of order..but i do think he feelis he can say what he wants & thats fine.....well it a same that he still hasn't realized he's not the bees knees

Why do you think he got kicked off Hells Kitchen

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 11 Jun 2009 20:37

I'm sure your Mum would've Uggers and that's why you're such a lovely man now. I got told off the other day by my Mum for swearing.

Dizzi I'm not sure what that's got to do with the man being arrogant and foul mouthed...and a mysogynist.

Whirley

Whirley Report 11 Jun 2009 21:28

Apparently his Mum rang him and told him he was out of order & hence, he decided to apologise......

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 11 Jun 2009 21:36

Australia is known for generally not being star-struck. If a celebrity steps out of line the Aussie public tend not to let them get away with it. Of course this also has a downside in that if someone makes it to the top we tend to knock them back down to size - the "tall poppy syndrome".

I don't like him at all....I don't like his cooking either. :-)

Sally

Sally Report 11 Jun 2009 21:44

I gave up watching any programme with him in it because of his mouth Uggers.......I do like him, just not the way he shouts and swears at people.......other chefs have shown that they can get the best out of staff, without all this bullying.....

Good for that lady presenter who gave back as good as she got.....

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 11 Jun 2009 21:54

in the paper today his mum denies even speaking to him about it, so that bit seems to be a big fat lie too! and imho he's orrible looking and swears for 'effect' - not like the rest of us who swear cos we're common :-)))
