big hailstones here, thunder for about 4 hours on and off, stair-rod rain and a river running down the road - at least my allotment won't need watering for a couple of days! |

Was sunny in North Essex all day until 7ish and then the storm came, thunder, lightening and lots of rain. Everything been quiet for the last 15 minutes or so. Haven't seen it that spectacular for a while now. |

was sunny here this morning and then lunchtime rained and thundered and tonight started again and poured down, dog only went in front garden and came in again but has that lovely wet doggy smell now. |

I must admit, I could hear it rumbling in the distance at about 3.00pm, and seeing the news, that must have been what they got in Watton, causing the flash floods. |
