Will you all just get your sweaty hands off Leonard? He's mine. I mean ours. You must have somebody worth sweating on over on that side of the pond.

First record I ever owned, that was. Well, actually, maybe second. I think the first was Freddy and the Dreamers, and that was purely a protest vote.

If I say: oil on a gravel driveway?

Are you guys getting Elvis Costello's variety/interview show at all? It just wrapped here, and it's been quite good. Too much Rufus Wainwright for anybody's good, though. Anybody wants to take him and the dreadful Diana Krall (married to Elvis, so got a segment of the show of course) off our hands, welcome.

Wonderful stuff, I stayed up til 01.45 to catch the whole lot, seems like it was a full Leonard Cohen night.

I remember seeing him play at Hammersmith Odeon, around 1979/1980 I think it was, and he came back for 12 encores!!!!
Chelsea Hotel and Dance Me to the End of Love are favourites, but I could happily listen to any of them at any time.

oh that was so good...I admit that apart from several songs that my first fiance used to sing I had missed a lot of the Cohen songs (just slightly before my 'era' music wise) but I think I have probably come to them at just the right time...

Bet she did also. ...still I have loads of Cohen music here so I can always play some instead. Mind I still think the old stuff is the best.
