I joined something about ten years ago and had no response, so I forgot about it until I joined F.R. recently and found that they had my details. At first, I thought they got them from G.R. but noticed the difference. I then found that the same old password was accepted - different one from G.R. so I can only assume I had either joined Friends Reunited, or they had taken over the site I joined originally!

When I entered the name of my school, a list came up with four names I had not heard since I was 14!!! They were not my best friends, but we were clasmates, and it was interesting to read what has happened to them since then. We all have our 78th this year!

I was contacted by a girl who was my best friend when I was 5 years old. We lived in the same village (2 streets, blink your eyes and you've passed it sort of place). I remember she was 4 days older than me. We moved from the village in 1949 and I didn't see her again until about 40 years ago when we briefly talked at my cousin's wedding. Nothing since until this contact. I have to say that it has been great catching up on news of acquaintances and we are still in touch. Not sure that we will meet as we live about 300 miles apart, but like being in touch.

Have had contact with several "old pals" contacted from FR from our school days and we now meet up at least once a year. Even though several years (well, around 30-ish!) had passed since we'd last seen each other it was as if no time had passed at all. Good old chin-wag and nostalgia trips. And, yes, I've had contacts with pleny others which have been a case of "hello and goodbye". Just luck I suppose! Loads of names I remember, but....

I used to Keith, and found school friends......one lived in Canada and when she came over to visit we met up........she was a much softer and kinder person and much prettier and had been through a few husbands......she said I was still as innocent as when I was at school......perhaps she meant I was a fool.......lol....

We emailed each other when she went back, she did it from work, and was very scathing of her employers...... it seemed she was having a lot of problems at work.......all of a sudden I could not contact her, and wondered if her emails had been read........still wondering what happened.......at about the same time my email on my other computer went haywire and is still not fixed.....

To make some sense of that post that i made earlier....lol

I meant that if I regarded them as friends then i would not have lost touch with them in the first place and felt the need to reunited....Even some friends that i may not have a lot of contact with for whatever reason if I was to move or change phone number then i would let them know.

Morning! :))

I've found my best friend from school, met her and it was as if it was yesterday; have also found other friends and had a school reunion.

Not only that but you can find friends from places you used to live. I'd recommend it.
