Edit Just nipping of to 'Ilson to the Kerp, as Peter Sellers called it, to get a jigsaw. Too hot to do anything else in the afternoons,just a long iced drink and a jigsaw. Will look in later

was he air crew, if so did he get "The Air crew of Europe Star" thats the one you want, the rarest of the 8 stars awarded.

to give you some idea of medals values.

1939/1945 Star £3 - 5.

Italy Star £7 - 10

Africa Star £7- 10

France & Germany Star £10 - 15

Burma Star £10 - 15

Atlantic Star £20 - 25

Pacific Star £30 - 35

Air Crew Star £200 - £250

but with any photos , proof, service records etc you can often double/ treble the value.
