that sounds ok that I could cope with now my dilema is do I keep this laptop and have it fixed again {its on lifetime cover and its been in 4 times already} which I have had 5 years was over a thousand pounds and stores enough personal data to sink a ship {frankly I would have upgraded by now if it werent for the cover} or replace it with a new cheaper one and an external hard drive? I really don't know I want to take it everywhere but need to hire a donkey to carry it |

apparently a hotel would be likely to have a secured wifi, for which you would need a password .... similar for work probably...that's to stop neighbours etc from using the Wifi if they are in range..... |

according to my son , Mel, you would need to be within a certain distance from a Wi fi transmitter? ( like you see 'free wifi' at MaccieDs lol). |

Ah then Rose you are just the person I need mobile internet but only when Im out I wanna still use my wi-fi at home ~ does the dongle work like that and does it have a time limit? |

a dongle is a little device you plug into PC so you can have a wireless connection ( I know this because I have just bought one :) for use with a home hub (that's downstairs so great not to have to run cables to PC upstairs) |
