I love the smell of a freshly bathed baby too. I also love the Sunday morning smell of a cut lawn and the smell of the fresh air following a downpour after a hot sticky day.

Most of what everyone else has said especially cut grass, fresias and fresh baked bread.... live next door but one to a bakers.... lovely.

Love the smell of hot , newly laid tarmac. Reminds me of when I was young, when the roads used to melt in the summer and the tarmac oozed at the side of the road. When the road had been newly relaid there were always chunks of set tarmac in the gutter, smooth and shiney. (sp?. is there such a word!).

Jasmine, Sunday dinners cooking, a perfume I used to wear all the time called Je Reviens by Worth, and carbon tetrachloride. My grandma used to have a brown bottle of the stuff in the pantry (yes, the pantry) and she used it to remove grease stains when ironing.

She said that when she felt a bit down, a quick sniff of carbon tet (as she called it) always perked her up! Not surprisingly, it's not sold any more, as its effects aren't particularly pleasant! (you may remember it as the "dry cleaners' smell)
