I'm working on it,making a new life as a "Single" person after40yrs of being a OH is not easy.Would have had a healthier life style if i were to change anything.I know I have to move forward but my heart wants to move back.
Very SAD to read all the unpleasantness on the Threads, it has got worse of late,I blame the weather not enough SUNSHINE to give us the feel good factor.Yes I DO pass over most of it ,but take this thread it popped up right in middle! then passed over,or had before i started Typing and that takes me an age.x

Like most people my life has not been all roses, but as the saying goes.......that which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger......

I was lucky to have a happy confident and positive nature which has seen me through otherwise hateful times.......but I am thankful for everything , especially my OH who has a great sense of fun.......

....short answer......yes.....

Uzzi - you are probably right....think my liver might have appreciated less drinking! lol! My OH was set to join the navy, but was diagnosed with a medical condition that meant he couldn't, so he had to rethink, came to uni where we met.....and the rest is history! he always says he cannot regret not being able to join the navy, cos if he had we wouldn't have met, and we wouldn't have our children......if you spend too much time looking backwards you miss the here and now....memories are good, dwelling on whats gone isn't! imho!

Yes I am, it would be nice to be financially secure but that's never going to happen!

I have a lovely family and a job I adore, I count my blessings and make the most of every day:)

Wendy you really are a happy person.

Yes I am contented/happy, I have a lovely life, not a lot of stress, a wonderful supportive, kind husband, a lovely home, not expensively furnished but how we like it, enough money to afford a few holidays, not world cruises but breaks in the sun, a lovely family, great grandchildren, plenty of interests, some we share some separate, lots of friends, even if none of them are local, they are there and with modern technology we can be in touch. I wouldn't change a thing.

Well maybe a decent lottery win but that would just be fun it wouldn't make me any happier.
