Whilst down here she is without an internet connection

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside,
I do like to be beside the sea,
I do like to stroll along the prom, prom, prom,
Where the brassbands play
Tiddley-om-pom-pom!
So just let me be beside the seaside,
I'll be beside myself with glee;
And there's lots of boys beside,
I should like to be beside,
Beside the seaside, beside the sea.

What a day...
First the bus driver tells Dizzi she is at her destination a mile away from the village. I go off & find her + 2 half drown Grandchildren & take them home to dry off
We go down to Bodiam Castle for lunch ... the children see the signs for the steam railway. I decide to take them over to the main station & yards at Tenterden & do the whole return journey.
We get there to find out that the trains do not run on Mondays & the yards are closed.
Quick change of plan ...head for Rare Breeds Centre ... take a wrong turn & end up miles away. But close to my very favourite Garden centre. They sell tropical fish, reptiles etc, the children loved it, we spent over an hour there & we only called in for ice creams.
You can see the wind turbines from the garden centre car park ... so we drive down that way to get a closer look ... road closures, so have to go miles in the opposite direction.
Those turbines are huge
Head back to Hastings ... through winding lane to camp site ... quick cup of coffee & start home.
Road works on main road out ... sat for ages in traffic ... 30 minute journey has taken me over an hour.
Oh well, at least the sun came out.
...
Dizzi says to tell you that she is going ‘stir crazy’ ... no internet & signal for her mobile signal cutting out often.

Had planned on going elsewhere yesterday, but the 3 children wanted to go back to the beach. Another enjoyable but tiring day.

Today we are all having a quiter day, shopping & play area for Dizzi & her G/children before they go home tonight, a day at home for me catching up on my jobs.
Just Dizzi & me tommorrow ... no plans yet lol

Well, took Dizzy to the station yesterday.
It was lovely having her down here for so long. Many hours were spent chatting face to face, driving round the area & sitting on beaches. Pints of Stu’s coffee drunk, cream cakes eaten & Palma violets sucked.
Last weekend a lovely lady from these boards & her oh joined us for the day. It was really good to be able to put another face to a name & learn just how much we have in common.
An enjoyable taster of life in semi-retirement, which I hope to repeat often when that time comes in a few weeks
