When you let them go and play out the front?

I'm sat by the window in the living room watching my two play out front out of the corner of my eye !!! but pretending to be deeply engrossed on here so they don't realise I'm doing it lol.

I live in a quiet cul de sac and I've given them strict guidelines about how far they're allowed to go etc..but it's horrible lol.xx

About 7 or 8? Do you know, although I felt exactly like you at the time, I really can't remember properly now.

Muffy, l think you have to give them a little freedom, l used to tell mine not to go pass so & so's house and not to cross the road, l was always standing at the window watching till one day OH said to me, you can't keep them wrapped up forever and its true, you know your kids and if you can trust them to do as their told, bet they love playing out.

They're good girls (mostly lol) Eldest is very level headed and will stay within any set boundaries......she'll also make sure youngest does as well....

I just feel happier when they're safe in the back garden lol. xx

well mine was 6 when i lved i me old house
but in me new house little man is 4 in 4 weeks and he plays on the big from but i live in a cul de sac and he knows how far he can go and plays with 8 other children ranging from 3 to 10 and even the parents without smal children look out for the younger ones atho im sat were i can see the end of the road and im in n out all the time as r the othe parents
i never dreamed of letting him out before 6 like the lasses but its like a proper fmaily unit n we all look out for the kids

If i had my way Kay that's when I would let them go out lololol

My two are the only young children in my cul de sac......though there are loads of others on adjoining roads......I'm taking it a step at a time though before I allow them out of eye shot.

Luckily my mum and dad live round the corner so I can con them into watching them from afar too when the day comes lol xx

Just wait till they go to school on their own or into town or library. Then theres the pubs,clubs and away to concerts gigs,football matches,get boyfriends/girlfriends, get married, then you start the whole cycle again and worry about your grandkids...playing out the front lol

It's not easy but let the string get longer as the get older lol

Muffy wait till there older and want to stay out till 10.00pm....... l used to have kittens sitting in my chair, no mobile phones in them days, lol, oh what fun it is being a parent !!!!!!!!

it tuk me all me time to let baby S on the big front but all the other mams here were like oh ours aer grrrr he is fine tho and loves it i now have a problem getting him in lololol

Mummo...and when they dont come home lol.
I used to worry sick at times. Then I told them to give me a sneaky call to say they are not coming home but no need to give me details lol.
Long as I knew they wernt lying in a ditch some place.

Stray...I remember moving them fron the carrycot in our room to a bedroom all of about 12 ft away..it was a worry too lol
Then thers the cot to the bed.Oh, and bunk beds another worry .

*whispers* I slept on the floor next to the cot for the first six months with eldest....LOLOLOL
can't believe how bad I was looking back......

Mine are 38 & 37 and l still hold their arms when we cross the road, daughter goes mad, but as l told her they will always be my babies and thats what mothers do .........worry. lol.

Mummo just tell them it's you,you are looking out for now when crossing .

Muffy your kids are knocking the door to be let in, see you did enjoy the peace and quiet, LET THEM IN, l they have finished playing in the street. lol.
