It's a bit much when a person posts under one name and asks for an explanation - then comes back and posts under another name on the same thread, criticising the way in which the explanation was set out - with not enough paragraphs, no less!

Check out 'Genealogy Software' on the Tips Board. I personally found the explanation quite interesting, but apparently this poor old man had only asked for it so that he could take a swipe at the person who bothered to do the explaining.

Shame on you, old man.

Janet, I have to admit that it was your comment which made me look at it and I was disgusted at his cheek. Can't have anything better to do. And, of course, I suppose HE is perfect!

There are some very strange people about.. :-))

Berona

Berona Report 13 Aug 2009 11:25

I've had nothing to do with either of them but the original person who put up the thread asked the pros and cons of a certain software, and I began to read to see what I could learn.

SHRat answered in a few words, as did others, but then this other person asked a question and next thing, I'm reading all this criticism about the way his explanation was typed!

To the one-finger typist, this would be a deterrent to contribute to the boards. I have no problem understanding what people mean and I'm no genius. Also, I was not impressed by the fact that he changed his name twice in order to trick readers. I was pleased to see that SHRat saw through him.

Berona, I believe, but do not quote me, that BrinsleyS is some sort of scientist. Perheps that explains the state his brain was in last night. But does not excuse him for being so rude.

I think also, the change from a normal thread to one of criticism was so fast. It wasn't one of those threads designed to stir up trouble and then all of a sudden - bam - it's on for young and old. I'm afraid I really don't understand nit-picking. I'm with you, Berona.

Ah! so you found us talking about it! I'm wondering if poor Garry will ever venture to put up another thread asking a simple question?

BrinsleyS and Hawkwind are one and the same - is that what you're saying Berona? Same membership no. and same name Peter M.

Yes, Sue. Who's Peter M? Not Welshy. Hawkwind/BrinsleyS's number is quite an old number.

Brinsley S is obviously a fan of Brinsley Schwartz. Perhaps Brinsley S IS Brinsley Schwarz. I do hope not :(

Sally Report 13 Aug 2009 13:01

I had to laugh Berona..... I don't know if you were here when we had one poster put up a thread, and then change her boardname 5 or 6 times in order to have a conversation with HERSELF...... didn't the silly mare realise that all anyone had to do was to hover over the name to get the membership number......

I will never forget that one..... :0))))

Isn't BrinsleyS and Hawkwind Peter Morgalla. I find it very strange that he was playing this silly game. I always thought he was a serious researcher.
