Seeing Joy, on the post above, reminds me that her 'aka' - and mine come to that, hark back to former boards names. And we're both nice people !!

We are both nice people, Fiona :-)

And my AKA etc is because some of my threads / posts still look, initially, as if they were posted by Maid Marion or Joy Kentish Maid; GR staff advised me it was not possible to alter them.

Working on the assumption that some peeps have multi-memberships and names...then I suppose it could be said that there aren't as many GR members as thought, ie GR may boast that they have, say, 820,000 members when its quite possible they've only got 145!!!. Teee Heee.
Just passing the time away while waiting for 'someone' to finish ironing the european ironing mountain!!!!!

You are likely correct there,in your assumption....
in the early days ( and maybe still is happening) people signed up for free, because they could.........lost interest and the account no.s still are valid, cos they are FREE.....

I decided to try and test this theory of yours - gosh i got excited when i thought i had a dozen numbers for one person lol

BUT - you have to hover over the name in the opened message and make sure it says at the bottom of your screen 'contact key = 123456789' ...........


If you hover over the names that are listed in your sent and received list you will get 'email key = 987654321' and this is where you will get a differing number every time - it's a message number not a membership number

Perhaps it might be a good idea if GR.found a way of putting all the names held by people on the board when they post such as ??????also know as then all the names they go under.**M**.probably see a lot of people jumping ship.

May I be advised by pm of these multiple contacts as I have also had some strange ones.. different numbers.. but with rude/ crude suggestions lately.

I was Sandie , then $andie cos I think there was another Sandie about, and changed to $parlking $andie for Xmas.... GR wouldn't let me go back to Sandie, so I will remain $parkling forever now !!...lol

I have only one account if anyone wishes to check .
My name changes were not devious,and I am suspicious of those who do without explaining why, but I've always been Sandie in some form..... and heck 5 accounts, I can just afford the one ! ..lol

Sorry ladies and gentleman, but I do not think I will be doing myself any favours by repeating the names either here or by PM. Sandie, I did not say these multiple account holders, had sent any rude/crude PM's, just that they had more than one account. I am sorry you are having these kind of PM's, truely am, because I was vitcim of this some time ago, and that person has muliple accounts, and is renowned for that. I soon found out who she was, and still would not divulge the information that she demanded in no uncertain terms. I do not know why these two people want multiple acounts, certainly not one of them at least.

Strangely enough just been talking to my neighbour about cold calls from Darlows, and told him I had politely( really) not to call me again.

Hubby had told me to tell him to go away in no uncertain terms, but I'm a lady!

I could have told him in Welsh where to go tho !!
