Cant stand black! Have made it known, NO black at my funeral!
Love strong colours, and anything from pink to purple. Have Jade green, royal blue but no white or yellow. Like wearing shawls, must have 6 at least! I also have an ancient Welsh tweed cape, which is so useful to slip round my shoulders to pop down the road.

So whats wrong with black then !!! LOL

The only problem is that there are varying shades of black, no 2 exactly the same. I wouldnt look out of place at a funeral ! Just trousers and tops .
I wore one skirt once in the "heat wave" , and rarely , If I'm really adventurous then navy or brown .
No problem choosing what to wear and ready to go in 5 minutes !!!

I meant to add yesterday that if I find a top I like I will often buy 2 in different colours. This year M&S had some lovely linen tops and I got a pink(bright) and a lemon.

I like to wear blue. I like everyone else to wear blue as well. You've only got to look at my washing line!

I don't like to see little girls in a mixture of 'barbie' pinks but now I am diversifying....

Mabel - I wore a white trouser suit, black/white blouse and black hat for my daughter's wedding in May. Not normally the colours I'd go for (we didn't have a 'theme' as such) but I was pleased with my outfit in the end.

Glad it's not just me, Agatha - I often go shopping with a view to buying loads of new clothes and then I can never find anything I like in the shops.

Something really irritating at the moment is the mismatch between the internet and what's in the shops! Late in August I was browsing the offerings on Marks and Spencers' website and made a note of some the things I wanted to get, then I got to our nearest one and they still had all the old stuff in . . .

Hi Elizabeth

I love pinks and lilacs and red! The only time I wear black is for a funeral. Years ago I remember going to a wedding reception and every woman bar me and the bride had a black dress on, I was very shocked.

As a rule I wear crops in the summer and jeans in the winter, I've only got posh frocks

late comer to make up too, i wore a bit of blusher in the 80s as teenager,
then none at all,
now i tend to put bit of conceler and some foundation on to just cover the skin a bit, and make it look even,
never ad clue how to apply it right
jeans i never wore until early 20s when i had my little girl, and i slim slim size 8, after, now i like um all time, but cant get comfy pair anywhere,

I wear Pink mainly, also like white and girlie florals, but I feel most confident in Pink.
I never wear Blue, although I do not mean Jeans, I love wearing Jeans But will wear something feminine with them, I do not feel feminine at all in blue, it makes me feel dowdy.
I do not think I am stuck in a rut with my wardrobe, however I do have my own style and certain things I like to wear, and I am not keen on change, I am always disapointed when fashion changes.
If I had to choose an item of clothing I love best it would be cardigans, I feel really cosy in them and I have quite a collection.
Although I am no fashion expert.
I was wondering though if the ladies and maybe gentlemen on here feel better with make-up than without it, I love wearing it.

I was a late convert to wearing jeans - I used to wear black trousers a lot until I realised that so much painting on my art course did not go well with them, and I've been living in my jeans ever since! (But I'm very picky about them - I often go round the shops feeling the thickness of the denim to see if it's hard-wearing enough!)

But I have quite a mix of colours in my wardrobe - my formal dresses are burgundy and dark blue, I've got another flouncy one that's black and white, my summer dresses are generally very pale but with pink- or purple-based prints on them, and my tops, jumpers and blouses are in the pink-to-burgundy, lilac-to-blue and jade green regions!

What I'm after at the moment, of all things, are some interesting socks!

I'm like Joan, mainly wear dark colours and only ever wear M & S stretchy trousers with jumpers or T-shirts.

Last time I wore a skirt was at a wedding about 7 years ago and I'll have to wear a dress for my niece's wedding next year.

I mainly only go out to the shops as well so don't do "dressing up". Sad or what!!

my favourite colour is green, but nowadays I slob round in tracky bottoms and T shirts. Go for comfort rather than fashion, I only have "posh" clothes for funerals.

Stuck in a rut? Most defiantly, yes!

Winter clothing revolves around black bottoms (skirts/trousers) and white or cream tops. It does get a bit boring, but goes with either of the coloured winter weight jackets used frequently.

At least with summer clothes, I can be a bit more cheerful looking!

Hello Elizabeth.

Browns, fawns, orange, greens. being very fair skined as well as white hair I feel these colours suit me and give me a bit of colour, some colours drain me and make me look ill. never had professional advice so I could have it all wrong. I mix and match a lot. don't wear pastel shades, like bright cheerful colours and really suppose I go for Autumn tones mostly, like black evening wear if I go to a "do".
