When I was young, I read a cautionary tale about a little girl who used her mum's pressure cooker to make a cake. I think it ended with an explosion, and a hole in the ceiling. I've been terrified of them ever since! |

I had one nearly forty years ago, frightened the life out of me so I ditched it...lol If I remember rightly I had to drop the weight on when it was hissing like hell :-(( |

I agree with Jeanette, would not be without mine. Food in a pressure cooker keeps all its flavour and gravy made from the stock and juices..........................mmmmmmmmm to die for |

Thanks all for your input........I just did some beef for a steak & kid pie, think I over cooked tbh.......but it is very tender,,,,. I have the Tefal cooker, it has just the one weight on top (not like the various weights my mum had on her one)... |
