Dear Old Geezer

Temazepam and Diazepam and also Valium are from the same family - benzodiazepines.

I was also recommended to take them for back pain. They are also used in dentistry to sedate nervous patients.

Just picked the packet up again and I got it wrong there are six tablets - and it says to take one up to three times a day - so only really three days worth if he takes three a day
OH has just said he is only going to take one day for three days and see if they help, he doesn't want to be spaced out lol

Diazipan is used for muscle relaxing, but like most tablets have various uses, once i was seeing doctor for severs migranes and he gave me some tablets to try, once i got tablets home and read the instructions they were antidepressants, anyway when i phoned doctor and said i'm not depressed he explained they had multipal uses just wish he done that in first place.

Mac I thought the same as you and that it was used to just treat anxiety and severe depression - when I saw them I thought my OH wasnt telling me something !

Jessie, years ago, when I used to suffer PMT, I would get slight muscle spasms in my shoulder for a day or so. I went to the doctor and was prescribed Diazepam then.

To say I was shocked is an understatement, and the chemist filling me prescription went on about the addictive qualities, and the need to come off them as soon as I felt able to. I explained it was for mild muscle spasm in the shoulder during PMT...he advised I don't take them at all LOL.

I was on them for 5 days Jessie when my back went a few weeks back.

They do work as they make you drowsy so it's a tad easier to get comfy enough to sleep.....

Only thing is.......if he DOES take them........get him to watch his bowel movements after as they relax the muscles there as well :0(
