Tec - are you trying to hide behind a new name, or are you trying to go Greek on us? Won't work.

Barbra - Thanks for the translation - I never would have guessed that!

Allan - "The Emperor" indeed! Who do you think you're kidding?

On my way back to Sue's thread. No comments please.

Allan, very early in our acquaintanceship I realised you are a very punny fellow. Never puny. I love puns. Especially hot out of the oven.
Persephone, sorry I missed our date. I was not hiding behind a stalag mite or even a stalact tight. I have not yet discovered the tunnel, possibly because I am a bit slow on computer matters. Or haven't come to grips with multiple windows.
My puny excuse is that after a long day at work yesterday for triennial accreditation (we passed with conditions), I didn't get home until after 7 and the computer stayed off.
I am thinking about updating my ElCheapo 2002 model but baulking at the price a bit. Our IT guru said I could get a good laptop (down guys) for under $1000 but by the time I get Office 2007 for it it would be closer to $2000.
Have a good afternoon Aussies/Kiwis and a beaut day upside downers.

You would be hanging upside down if you were hiding behind a stalactite Colin - I don't consider you to be at all Batty not sure about that Allan though.
I am glad you passed - hope the conditions are not too daunting.

Colin.......
Congratulations on passing your Triennial Accreditation with Conditions,
(why not with Distinction?)
I have no idea what all that means, but I'm sure it's important to your future career prospects .
I hope you are aware that if Allan and I are captured out here by the sisterhood, and frog marched, bound hand and foot, back to the Aussie thread, you will be the only free male left to represent our interests, and plead for clemency from Sue when she returns.

Tec, if you want to go straight to a thread you have written on, just click on "my threads" which is under Tools on the left hand side of the page. You will see a list of all the threads you have contributed to,so you don't need to look for them

Allan

Allan Report 12 Nov 2009 21:46

Nah, they wouldn't dare!

Tec there should be a description about finding a piece of broken porcelain which appears to be part of a round bowl with the inscription on it.

This was part of a prank letter to a newspaper many years ago which did get published.

I worked with the perpetrator who still had the cutting to show me

Persephone

Persephone Report 13 Nov 2009 05:39

Was just doing a Brenda Lee reply to Barbra's Brenda Lee song.

Sue! Welcome back! Hope you had a lovely trip and a nice break - but Oh! aren't we glad to see you back! (the girls, that is). Tec and Allan will be running away hiding now!

We keep having to come over here to get them and drag them back! It has taken all our combined strength to hold on to them!
