If I need to help my lad out, occasionally, I can transfer money and it is in his account in two hours usually.

Margaret, that is wonderful news........ I did mention it to ST Anthony (not that I was a believer, but BC is his most fervent convert, lol) ....

It really does make you feel good to know that people are so kind and honest... the person who posted it, and the postie who delivered it stamp-less!

I was sitting on the bus thinking of you today and wondering if you had heard anything. What wonderful news, well done to the person who posted it and postie who didn't collect for underpayment, hope what goes around comes around for them in the future.

That's brilliant news, Margaret, how good and happy you must feel. I wonder if the person who found it took it round themselves, strange it would get delivered if it had no stamp on. I wouldn't have thought it would get through the sorting office otherwise. Maybe you could write a letter of thanks to the person via a local newspaper letters page.

Wonderful news! A really heartwarming story. Good idea to put a letter in the local paper, to thank the "poster".

Hi Margaret,
We haven't ' spoken ' before, but I've been reading your thread and hoping that the envelope would turn up. So pleased to read that your daughter's received it. It's nice to know that there are still a lot of honest people about. So happy for you and your hubby!
Wishing you and your family a Very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

Best regards, Sallie.

Joan, have you managed to get the unfranked stamps off the envelopes? The new stamps have little perforated areas in the middle to stop people reusing them, supposed to rip apart if you take them off an envelope, but I am going to try putting mine in the freezer, saw recently a tip on here that worked when I wanted to open a letter to put something else in that I had forgotten!

Much easier than steaming lol and less of a giveaway!
