Morning Caz, I wish you a Happy Christmas time and hope you aren't feeling too dreadful after the scan and drive there and back. It sounds as tho your consultant is very supportive and it's good that he can make you laugh.
We all knew you were a walking miracle and now you have just proved it lol - the stuff that's holding you together is determination, sheer grit, my friend so let's hope the chemo helps and doesn't upset you too much and that you find more resources of that determination to carry on that is so much a part of you.

lots of love

We had to get a taxi Liz, and they know I am disabled so they told the driver to try and get to me as I can't walk to meet him. The road is still icy and he was scared to death, not to mention me and hubby. He got us there though, and the one who brought us back we asked him to drop us of on the main street.
The scan went well, and as a treat he showed me the photos and explained what was what, looking at them and knowing what he said I wondered how, between arthritis and cancer my skeleton is holding together, we had a laugh though and he made me look foreward to the days to come.
Yes it was as usual and I'm feeling it now.

Thank you Jan and please tell Dutch that I know she is, and I will speak to her tonight.
I have a bag full of anti everything Ann, so I took an anti-sickness tablet yesterday, I felt ok when I got up.
We are going to have to get a taxi to the hospital this afternoon, but we may have to wait for him on the main street as I doubt he will get down here. Going to be fun and games with me trying to get up onto Market St.
I don't know which thread it was that Ann Glos mentioned having the street tarmacked, it is a historic village and only the main street is tarmacked, all other streets are cobbled. The house where the Brontes were born is at the top of our street and people come from all over to see the village.

Half way through the second week of chemo and I am feeling nausious(?) now so going to lie down early. At least the last time I had chemo it started on the second day so I have been lucky so far with this lot.

Sorry Vicky, I would have got round to it but Hubby came home didn't he, anyway I was more interested in your good luck. Got some more shopping this afternoon and he came home with a few pressies for me so it won't be so bad.

Caz. Just read this.
GOOD LUCK for your scan on Wednesday.
You didn't mention it when I spoke to you. Naughty lol

Well, you don't need to use the small kitchen as an excuse for doing nothing on Christmas day.

Wishing you and Philip a good one.

Glad I was of use Caz, hope your happy shopper (not lol) manages to get all you need and maybe you will think of something after Christmas for a real pressie and he can get you something little to open on the day.

I understand now about the scan, getting muddled from the info you gave me and the knock on the bonce lol

take care

Morning ladies, thanks for your wishes, it's so nice to think you are still behind me. Liz my oncologist wants to see me at the end of the first cycle of chemo, the 30th, he wants to check my feet, but he wants the scan first so he can see how much further it has got into my bones. My collar bone has got worse as the pain is awful at times.
Yes indeed, I was so glad you rang when you did or else I would have forgotten them completely, as it was it had gone well over the half hour so I had a bag of quavers and waited a while. I do forget tablets sometimes but they were chemo, don't worry about ringing, I get quite tired after tea but I will tell you if I don't want to talk for long.

We are snowed in, hubby can't get to work, one of his workmates was going to pick him and another lad up but he can't get his car out either. He has just gone on the bus to supermarket for as much as he can carry, we haven't got anything in for Christmas yet, and he still hasn't got my present as I don't know what I want. Talk about being behind, lol, trouble is with this flat, there's no space to store extra food and things.
I agree it was nice to see Lily, I have been thinking of her a lot lately.

Love Caz xx

Hi Caz, shame about the scan, couldn't you have got it put off til after Christmas so you didn't feel poorly, surely another few days wouldn't make a lot of difference?

Glad I reminded you about your pills the other evening and hope things go ok for you, you have been on my mind but I don't like to keep calling.
Take care and hope you can still enjoy Christmas, both of you

love and hugs

Hi Jean , yes the tablet is good but I had to stop it last time as it made my feet really sore, so much that I couldn't walk. They kept lowering the dose but the damage was done by then, I have started this lot on the dose I was on when I finished last time. It did work really well and my cancer count in blood went very low, hope it is the same this time. Thanks for thinking of me.
