I can't get to my daughter!
24 minutes by car................I don't drive
Over an hour by TWO buses
or one bus and a train
or one bus (35 minutes) and a 3 .3 mile walk!
Times are limited.
I could take nearly 2 hours to get there, stay for 2 hours, nearly 2 hours to get home.
Last bus from the centre of town to my house is 18:50!

....really pees me off when governments & councils go on about becoming more 'green' - improve the public transport you planks - get out of your bleeding cars and try going somewhere using our 'wonderful ' transport system!!!!

Pay the fares demanded on the underfunded trains - go on - I dare you - travel with 'the plebs'!!

*sorry*

I don't travel well on coaches, bad experience as a kid has put me off them for life I'm afraid. And as you say, National express....the lie is in the name LOL

Annina Report 9 Feb 2010 21:11

45 mins by train, 40 by car?

You should try National Express, I travelled from Sheffield to Norwich last summer.

31/2 hours by car............................10 hrs by bus.

Not what I call express.
