Hello Maggie......I always thought they were filmed around Midsomer, which is somewhere on the way to the West Country I think.......and was surprised when they did a documentary on the series and they filmed a lot around Beds, Bucks, Herts.......which have a lot of pretty villages......we have one not far from us called Aldbury, complete with duckpond, tudor style houses and stocks.....yes, real ones......... |

I didn't know he was a teacher Von.......I am glad he went into acting......always liked him in Bergerac and went to have a look at his classic car when we went to Jersey last year.......I think he has a holiday home over there.......anyway I know he visits there and sponsors many activities in Jersey...... |

Just googled to find the church and it was filmed in the church in Little Missenden.........I know they go to all different locations......mind you when they filmed Pie in the Sky from the High Street, there were a lot of local places in that...... |

Thanks Captain, I googled him and saw he had been in quite a few good dramas......it was good that they ran him alongside John Nettles.......at least we know the Midsomer murders will carry on.......just thinking up new plots will be fairly difficult...... |

He has gone a bit puce in the face once or twice over time, and he was only talking........I shall miss him in Midsomer, same as the character Bergerac will always be his........ I hope they keep his sidekick Jones in the part, just for a bit of continuity...... |

I can't remember what he was in but I think he has been in quite a few things, he is a good actor, I think he will be good in the aprt. Yes John Nettles did seem a bit breathless, but I have thought that before. He is 66 so I suppose it is time he stopped running around. |

I often heard the name Nether Wallop Polly, but just thought it was a comical name........but its obviously famous if all those celebs visited it.......I thought it was the site of a WWII airfield in a story I read...... |
