this is for everyone who knows Perse
I got a pm off her today and the reason she has not been on for a while is because
this is part of her pm

I am limiting my time on the computer - you won't see me for awhile - I went over on my left foot on Sunday night fell off our front door mat (I had not been drinking) and spent Monday afternoon in A & E - the good news is it is broken the bad news is it is difficult to fix. Am in a moonboot which comes up to my knee and is heavy as (steel bars up either side) and have to keep foot up as much as possible

So if you would like to add your get well wishes to this thread i will copy and pm it to Perse

Goodness me, moonboots won't be very comfortable during your summer days..

My OH wants me to get better quickly as well - so he does not have to do the washing and cooking etc.

If I am up to go to the bathroom - which has now become a plan ahead activity - considering how long it takes me to get up off the couch - which has also become my bed - I then try and combine my expedition with a visit to the computer room/office.
Yes Stevie I wish I had a laptop.

Apparently break is an awkward one to fix - just like me.......

It is not just hot in the damn boot - only reprieve I get from it is when I'm in the shower - as we are also putting up with 99% humidity.

Allan- To take a leaf out of Bill Clinton's reply - I did not have a drink with that doormat.

I think I will have to be extra careful. I am finding the weather far too hot and muggy this summer. I would come to visit you, but I find the driving doesnt help in this heat. I have become a nudist in the privacy of my own home but I cant very well be one when I go out - I would scare the natives and get arrested. Though come to think of it, they might put me in the cooler!
